Donna Clare Getz
Donna Getz, age 78, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born November 14, 1942 in Baljennie Saskatchewan to Clara Solmes and George Bragg. Donna grew up in Saskatoon surrounded by an expansive loving immediate and extended family.
Donna was a loving and gentle soul that always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. This was exemplified in her large circle or friends which she cherished and whom in turn cherished her. As a wife she exemplified unwavering devotion to Malcolm Robert Getz, her husband of 55 years. As a mother she taught the true nature of unconditional love and support to her son Murray Blair Getz.
Her passion was for the service of others and causes that she deeply believed in. She was a devout contributor and supporter of the Ottawa Humane Society and The Well. Her public service was extended through her personal activities, involvement in elderly care at Garden Terrace, and social associations such as the sorority that she belonged to, Beta Sigma Phi, and her involvement at Centrepointe Theatre.
Donna is survived by her husband, her brother Murray Bragg, her son and his wife Melissa Getz. Your love and light will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you. A Private Funeral will be held at Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery.
