Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the May Court Hospice on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the age of 78. Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba on May 29, 1941 to the late Albert and Grace Feldman. Beloved wife of the late Ernest (Ernie) Mayer. Cherished mother and grandmother of two sons and six grandchildren - David (Luisa) Sian and Taleah; Keith (Irene) Jamie, Kyle, Caitlin, and Cole. She leaves behind two sisters Jean (Jim) Perog, Doris (Al) Sutherland and a brother George (Shirley) Feldman; nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many cherished friends, including her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi in Ottawa, Nursing and RCMP extended families.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave., on Tuesday, August 27 from 12 p.m. until a Celebration of Ruth's life at 1 p.m. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Liver Foundation, May Court Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
