HOEY, Mrs. Dorothy (nee Grady) BA (University of Ottawa) 1919 - 2011 Retired Ottawa-Carleton Separate School Bd. Passed away in her ninety-third year at the Civic Hospital on Wed., May 18th following surgery and related complications. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Wm. J. (Bill), and her children, Gerry Shawn, Joanne (Peter Renahan), and Jim (Jesse Poirier). Beloved mother of Rosemarie, Tom (Inez), Nancy (Donna), Brian (Kathy Lee), Catherine (Roger Jefferies), Tim, and Terrie, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a special "Aunt Dot" to many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna Grady (Twomey), Peterborough and predeceased by her brothers, Lawrence, Fergus, John, Clare, and Vernon. She is survived by her sisters, Eleanor Begley and Marie Grady and sister-in-law, Mrs. Pearl Grady, Peterborough, Mrs. Dorothy Grady, Cornwall, as well as Mrs. Audrey McKeown of Napanee and Mrs. Geraldine Hoey of Ottawa. The family expresses great gratitude to Dr. George Hajjar, the Civic's cardio-vascular teams and the special nurses on 4B and 5D.
