Sigma Chatter

We are a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Beta Sigma Phi is an international social, cultural women's group but we are not affiliated with any school or university.

Beta Sigma Phi is an international women's group that was founded in 1931 as a book club.  Since it's then it has grown to mean to it's members, "Life Learning and Friendship".  There are over 250,000 active members worldwide and chapters are located in 23 different countries, with chapters in every state in the U.S. and every Province in Canada.

Most of our members live in West Ottawa communities like Kanata, Nepean and Barrhaven. Our ages range from the 30's to the 40's.  We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month but we always seem to find other reasons to get together. 

We are from many different professions. Some of us have lived here a long time and some of us have just recently moved here. Some of us are single and some of us are married.   We own houses with gardens and rent apartments in large buildings.  Our interests are as varied as we are and we’re always open to trying something new and we’re always looking for just one more!

We raise funds and donate time for different causes. We make new friends and learn about new things often. Most of all, we have fun, together, with all of it. If you are interested in visiting our group or have questions about Beta Sigma Phi please feel free to send us an e-mail.
